Dear Friends:

I hope this finds you all well and having a wonderful summer. Seems like the days have flown by, but we have had a good summer with lots of sunny days here on the coast. Been keeping very busy with my paintings preparing for a showing in October on Hilton Head island, SC in collaboration with Roy Tabora from Hawaii. We are creating two 30 x 40 oil paintings together; I am painting the whales and dolphins below the surface and he is painting the above seascape. The paintings will make many flights across the Pacific before the final images are completed. We are both really excited about the project and we will update you with the final images which will probably be available as a limited edition giclée. in December I will be celebrating my Tenth Annual Studio Tour; can't believe it's the 10th!! Will be sending out invitations so hope you can join us for coffee and cookies.

If you follow the link you will find a page that depicts my three new giclée's that are printed on stretched canvas. There are 90 giclées in each edition with an additional 9 artist proofs. "The Storyteller" shows 10 emperor penguins with the central penguin probably telling a "tall tale" to his friends. Each giclée will be additionally enhanced and the artist proofs will have an added penguin chick painted on the image.

"Tillamook Rock" is of course our famous Oregon Lighthouse that has over the years been nicknamed "terrible tilly" because of it's location and dangerous rocks. This image depicts what it looked like in the early 1900's with a sailing brig fighting its way past the light in heavy seas. Enhancement will be made to the lighthouse and sails of the brig.

"Turning to Windward" shows two humpback whales passing a sailing barque that is heading downward in rising seas. Enhancement will be made to the sails of the barque and possibly some birds added to the skies.

Thanks so much and we hope to hear from you.

Sincerely,
